Video: The Super Dump versus the Quint-Axle Dump Truck

The average quint-axle dump truck (aka Simple 16 dump truck) is limited to about 19 tons of payload each trip, in compliance with the federal and most state bridge laws. A Super Dump, however, hauls up to 26 Tons of payload each trip. We break down the numbers comparing the quint to the Super Dump, showing realistic estimates of the additional revenue a Super Dump will earn compared to a quint / simple 16 dump truck. We use very conservative numbers in our calculations in this video, so that the estimates are realistic. We encourage you to repeat the calculations using your own real-life numbers, and you'll probably come up with even higher increased revenue figures than we did. Quint axle dump trucks are useful in some states, but in the majority of states, and on all interstates and other federal highways, the additional payload that Super Dumps are allowed to carry brings in so much additional income that the Super Dump equipment pays for itself in a year's time.
