Flat was southbound on County Road 625E in Franklin County when he lost control of his vehicle and skidded into a power pole, breaking it in half. Granite City man facing drunken driving charge GRANITE CITY A weekend accident led Monday to a felony drunken driving charge against a 72-year-old Granite City man. James F. Barnstable of 2836 Denver St. in Granite City was arrested Friday after his 1979 Cadillac Coupe de Ville struck another car in the 2700 block of 20th Street. According to the formal charge, Barnstable was intoxicated and Derek Hall was injured in the collision.
